Semarang (15/10) Department of Environmental Engineering, Diponegoro University, held an annual  TL Expo National Seminar after two years of being held online due to the pandemic. With the theme “Environment Restoration to Reach SDGs With Action” on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at the Dean Building of the Faculty of Engineering, Diponegoro University.

The purpose of this national seminar is to convey the importance of Environmental Restoration with cooperation between government, industry, and the community in order to achieve sustainable development.This seminar activity was held offline and broadcast through the zoom meeting platform and YouTube and was attended by more than 600 people from university students, students, lecturers, government agencies, NGOs, and the general public.

Rusdi Husin as the QHSE Division Head of PT Adaro Energy Tbk presented the material on Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, Rusdi Husin as the QHSE Division Head. Explained about environmental, social, and governance (ESG), environmental management, and carbon management in mining companies. In a mining company, extensive and comprehensive environmental management is needed. When opening or reclaiming a mining area, a plan is needed for how the mine will be closed, and rehabilitated when it is no longer in use.

Director of Land Damage Control of the Directorate General of Pollution and Environmental Damage Control, Edy Nugroho Santoso explained the 15th point of the SDGs, Protecting Land Ecosystems. Through the understanding of ecosystems, environmental damage, environmental quality index, ecosystem replica restoration, and permaculture restoration. Prof. Dr. Rer. Nat. Imam Buchori, Professor of Urban and Regional Planning, Diponegoro University, conveyed good urban planning in order to understand disaster risk in urban areas.

Dr. Ir. Sripeni Inten Cahyani, MM, IPM as an expert staff of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources in the field of electricity explained about Clean and Renewable Energy through goals, targets, and targets that require the support and commitment of the relevant Ministries/Institutions and all parties.
