Semarang (28/6) Department of Environmental Engineering, Diponegoro University. The Undip Department of Environmental Engineering delegated 5 students from the Environmental Engineering Bachelor Program on behalf of Aafi Manaf Wardhana, Pascal Dirgam, Ira Wahyuni, Arifa Sofia Putri, and Uus Uswatun Hasanah to attend the Waste Congress II event. The event was the culmination of the commemoration of the World Environment Day of the Province of Central Java in 2022. This event lasted for 2 days, 25-26 June 2022 at the Pasiri Kembar-Plaosan Temple, Bugisan Village, Prambanan District, Klaten Regency.

The Waste II Congress event was attended by the Governor of Central Java  Mr. H. Ganjar Pranowo, S.H, M.IP made the event more lively and enthusiastic. “Today we make the second garbage congress. Before pandemic we made it, but because Pandemic did not work, and finally we met the second one, “said Mr. Ganjar.

This annual event also has discussions divided into 5 commissions (Working Groups). The discussion produced 5 important formulations including, (1) changes in waste imagery, (2) changes in behavior towards waste, (3) waste management systems, (4) Mandiri Village Waste Management, and (5) Best Practice. “It is hoped that the results of the second garbage congress can really provide recommendations that we can raise become public policies for us to move,” said Mr. Ganjar.
