On 9 September had been successful in the implementation of INCRID 2021 online through a platform Zoom and Youtube .The event was followed by the participants come from the students , academic , researchers , and observers of environmental and attended by dean of Engineering Faculty and the vice rector of the University of Diponegoro .In addition , in the event of INCRID 2021 at the school level was presenting the keynote speakers than 5 countries:
- Prof. M. N. V. Prasad from University of Hyderabad-India
- Prof. Takanobu Inoue from Toyohashi University of Technology-Japan
- Prof. Ashanta Goonetilleke from Queensland University of Technology-Australia
- Prof. Hsin-Hsin Tung from National Taiwan University-Taiwan
- Prof. Dr. Ir. Purwanto, DEA from Diponegoro University, and
- A. Suko Widigdo, S.T., M. Eng. as Operational Direction of PT Adhi Karya.
INCRID 2021 has the theme “Research and Innovation in Environmental Towards Sustainability in Discruptive and Post-global Pandemic Situation”. The choice of the theme is motivated by the current state of the environment which is facing many problems. One of them with the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, causing the emergence of new things that require special attention. For example, awareness of the importance of disaster mitigation. Therefore, handling this pandemic is also a new challenge that will be faced by the environment and needs to be resolved. With the addition of these new challenges, INCRID 2021 is expected to be a forum for discussion about these challenges and how to solve them.
In implementation , as for benefit or from following a series of events INCRID namely get knowledge of different perspectives other countries as well as to receive relation by one who has an interest the science which same.
This year is the second year that INCRID has been held online, which certainly presents its own challenges for the organizing committee. According to Felicia Melinda as the head of the INCRID 2021 event division, “We deeply regret that INCRID 2021 cannot be carried out directly due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Adjusting the pattern of information delivery is one of the challenges we face. We try to create a good information pattern so that participants can receive maximum information. We hope that with this pattern of information delivery, participants can receive information as well as if the event was held offline.”
