Semarang (13/6) Department of Environmental Engineering, Diponegoro University. The Diponegoro University Environmental Engineering Masters program held the umpteenth time webinar in 2022. Still with the atmosphere of World Environmental Day 5 June 2022 Webinar this time raised the theme “Environmental Management Technology” by presenting 2 speakers from the Indonesian National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). Mr. Dr. Ir Rudi Nugroho, M.Eng.ipu with the topic “Application of Environmentally Friendly Technology in Small Scale Gold Mining” and Mr. Moch Syarif Romadhon, S.Si., M.Sc., D.Phill with the topic “Instrumentation to measure the size of pollutant particles Air and refractive index “. More than one hundred academics, researchers, environmental activist, as well as S1 and S2 students also attended this webinar.

In his remarks Dr. Ing Sudarno, S.T., M.Sc. As the Head of the Department of Environmental Engineering, the hope of the holding of this webinar can be a forum for sharing information, experience, and knowledge, which will be able to help action in handling environmental problems especially academics, researchers, and other stakeholders.

Webinar is guided by the moderator, Mr. Dr.Ir. Haryono Setiyo Huboyo, S.T., M.T., HDI as Chair of the Environmental Engineering Masters Study Program. Delivered by Mr. Dr. Ir Rudi Nugroho, M.Eng.ipu about the dangers of using mercury in small -scale gold mining so that Brin develops an alternative to environmentally friendly technology for reducing and removing mercury use,  developing gold processing innovations without mercury primary ore in Kulonprogo by utilizing pilot projects with cyanidation technology .

Mr. Moch Syarif Romadhon, S.Si., M.Sc., D.Phill delivered a variety of research and technological innovations that can help in the measurement of air pollutant particles such as sparcle instruments, doas methods, aerosol measurement methods, two-dimensional angular optical scatter (Taos), dual wavelength optical particle spectrometer (DWOPS), and many more. With this webinar, it is expected to be able to increase knowledge in the management of the surrounding environment.
