ICoESCo or The International Conference on Environmental and Sustainability Context is the first international conference organized by the Environmental Sustainability Research Group (EnSi-RG) together with the Environmental Research Center, Trisakti University Research Institute, Diponegoro University Environmental Engineering and the Kitakyushu Indonesia Student Union. This event was successfully held on August 24, 2021 virtually.
With the theme “Emerging Challenges and Opportunities for Achieving Environmental Sustainability”, ICoESCo featured four speakers from Canada, Pakistan, Japan, and Indonesia. The theme of the material presented was nanotechnology by Dr. M.V. Reddy from the Hydro-Quebec Institute of Research, renewable energy by Dr. Astri Rinanti Nugroho, M.T. from Trisakti University environment by Dr. Kamran Azam from Haripur University, and environmental education by Prof. Hiroyuki Miyake of Kitakyushu University.
It covers nine topics of discussion, namely Solid Waste Management and Treatment, Water and Wastewater Recycling, Climate Change and Global Warming, Environmental Economics and Management, Renewable Energy, Environmental Health and Risk, Environmental Education, Artificial Intelligence and Big Data for the Environment, and Nanotechnology, ICoESCo was able to present 150 participants and presenters, be it researchers, academics, postgraduate students, and environmentalists who have presented their research results which will be discussed in the IOP Proceeding.
